6 Week Thursday Afternoon Pottery with Kate Wade – November

With demand at a peak for pottery courses, we are delighted that Kate Wade has decided to teach on a Thursday afternoons, at Sundragon Community Pottery!

Maybe you’ve always wanted to have a go on the potter’s wheel, but have not had the chance, yet?  Or, perhaps you just want to sharpen your skills?

Then this is the pottery class for you.

Kate will teach you all about clay preparation, and share some handbuilding techniques with you.  You will learn how to use the potter’s wheel, and methods for decoration and glazing

This Thursday Afternoon pottery class offers you the opportunity to come along to our beautiful Studio 2 Classroom, in Moseley School of Art.

If you are brand new to clay, or just want to develop your skills, then you are welcome in this class.

You will be supported in your learning, throughout.

You will cover various surface decoration techniques, including using coloured slips and glazes.

During this course, students will also learn “good studio practice”.

This six week course starts on  Thursday 5th November, and will take place every Thursday Afternoon from 1.30pm – 4.00pm, on the following dates:
